I saw part of a post in the little things that make you go 'ooh, nice' thread that interested me:
3. When I found out that one can change some parameters of the ondemand governor. That saves a LOT, and I really mean a LOT of energy while not hitting the overall system performance.
I'm really looking to improve my battery life as much as possible on my system.
Could anyone advise on some tweaks to the ondemand governor's parameters that would help me save energy?
Also, would using the powersave governor benefit me more when off AC than using ondemand?
Thanks in advance for any help with this

This thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=134109 contains lots of information on this subject, and has lead to a package in AUR that could save you a lot of trouble getting things aligned.
I haven't tried it yet, but I will in a short while.

Thanks for the reply zenlord
I've actually already implemented most of those tweaks into my own scripts, I was just looking for some advice on governor parameter optimisation specifically.
Thanks for your reply though!

You can tweak conservative governor : http://linux4netbook.blogspot.it/2012/0 … liere.html (it is in italian, i know...but the author is the mantainer of kernel-netbook on aur, you can trust him! )
Hope this can help.
