It's possible but I don't want to force users to disable it if they don't want it; i prefer an opt-in approach to it. As you know, I do compile it into each package, but i do not enable it. See the wiki page for several methods to enable it, both of which are 'set it and forget it' solutions.

Yep, but no_hz seems to be working again:

CONFIG_NO_HZ=y

Hello,
the new kernels since 3.4 don't like my system very much, causing random segfaults and panics within minutes of booting up, so I've been using 3.3.7 for a while now. Today I tried installing 3.5.2 to check if the problem has been fixed, and learned that it hasn't, and also that I had accidentally deleted the 3.3.7 package from cache, leaving me without any way to go back to a stable system. Would anyone here, by any chance, have the compiled packages for linux-ck-corex-3.3.7 (or 3.3.8, or anything 3.3.* really) and its headers for x86_64?

Thanks, but the problems started with 3.4, so 3.4.9 would be just as unstable.

Edit: @ lynix: it doesn't run long enough before a panic hits to compile a kernel, I tried.

Just checked - stock linux-3.4.9 panicked about a minute and a half after bootup. It's pretty random, too - sometimes it happens even before X starts, sometimes it may run for a half hour; sometimes I first get programs randomly crashing with a segfault, sometimes panic is the first thing that happens. 3.3.7 ran without a single hitch. Thought that's offtopic, especially since there's a thread about this elsewhere.

The problem is that pacman wants to bump nvidia-utils higher, but nvdia-ck won't let it because it has not been upgraded by graysky yet. Simply wait until graysky updates his nvidia package on his repo.

@Sid - Sans is right. I just have to bump up nvidia-ck to 304.43-1 which I just did. It would be faster if someone would flag the nvidia-ck package out-of-date in the future so I can be made aware of the new version. It is in the AUR and in the repo now. Enjoy!

Not in front of my laptop now to verify. When you installed it, did you reboot or remove the old module and restart X?

I forget to run the mkinitcpio to update nvidia module in it.

Now everything is ok.

You mean on the AUR nvidia-ck page? Or is there any means to flag packages out-of-date in your repo?

Yep. There is no direct way to do it on the repo, but since I will never update the repo without updating the packages in the AUR, the best wy you can let me know is to flag out of date in the AUR since it sends me an email when this happens.

The ck-atom package works perfectly on my desktop atom. CPU used to max out frequently but is now much more stable.

My HPDV5000 laptop is equipped with an AMD Turion 64. It’s not specifically listed in the ck-kx packages. Any chance it is compatible?
