What is kjournald? I see it starting up during bootup, but I have no idea what it is. I have tried to search for it but no success... Is this thing needed? Where is it loaded from? (nothing in rc.conf) I think I'm way of in this, but since it starts with k I'm thinking it's kde something, and therefore not needed at bootup in my system? hehe
Also, sometimes (not always) I see something that says toshiba (I think) touchscreen loaded... What is this??? It's even more weird since it only sometimes, maybe once every seven bootups... I don't have a touchscreen (duh) and I haven't loaded it myself anyway!

I think it's for the journaling of the filesystem, and it's part of the kernel, you can't get rid of it. You can recompile and get rid of touchscreen support however.

but why does touchscreen load anyway? can't I just not load it from somewhere? I don't use hotplug either so I have no idea why it loads...
Offline
it's built-in to the kernel so you can't unload it.

okay... but how come it's loaded sometimes? and I don't think I need it... I mean, since it's not every time there have to be something that makes it load these times?
