useless diskaccess when idle - laptop-mode?

I'm running Archlinux in inside Qemu.
Here gkrellm shows a disk access every 3 seconds when the system is idle.
How can one stop this disk access?
Is there some kind of laptop-mode?

You need to figure out what's causing the disk access... what is running? Could it be gkrellm?  Could it be Qemu?

Well, judging by the fact that you got the title correct, you should know this.
The answer is yes, but what do you want to do with it?

Grab laptop-mode-tools from the [community] repo.
