Grub do not work after instalation in Eee PC 1001 PX

Hello everybody,
I downloaded the last release of Arch Linux ( which comes without AIF) and followed the wiki to complete the instalation in an Asus Eee PC 1001 PX netbook.
But something went wrong because even after Ithe instalation of grub (as the wiki) and reboot the computer, the boot device can't be found. I made the same procedure in a Virtual Machine and it worked. Is there any special trick for the Eee PC 1001 PX?
Thanks in advance

There is a bios setting described here that might cause problems
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/ASUS_Eee_PC_1001px
even though I never had to do anything special on my eee

Re: Grub do not work after instalation in Eee PC 1001 PX

Hello, thanks for your response.
I saw that wiki and the only thing about the BIOS mentioned there was that the Boot Booster skiping all devices and only trying to boot the disk.

My problem is different, the USB boots successfully, but after reboot (try to boot the new arch instalation) it does not find any "bootable device"

Thanks again!

Re: Grub do not work after instalation in Eee PC 1001 PX

Its hard to say, but the first thing I would do it to enter BIOS and make sure that the hard disk is listed in the devices (HDD) section, and that it is listed in the boot devices section.
Also make sure Boot Booster is disabled if you can find it.
If it still didn't work, I would boot up the live media and make sure the disk is marked as bootable. (Toggle bootable flag in fdisk)
If it still doesn't help I would unscrew the hard drive and pull out the battery for at least 5 minutes and then put them back in.

Thats really all I can think of...
