[solved] Wlan(Ralink RT2500) hardblocked

Hi,
I have installed Arch on an old Laptop (Medion MD96400) and have problems getting the Wlan to work. The Laptop has a  push-button to toggle the Wlan on/off - not a switch and the BIOS has only [last state/disabled] as an option (last state is activated).
On this Laptop are ArchLinux and Slacko 5.3.3 (a PuppyLinux spin-off based on Slackware) installed and on Slacko the Wlan works out off the box (no need to push the toggle, but the toggle also works as expected) and on Arch it says it is hardblocked (and the toggle has no effect on this):

[arch]$ sudo rfkill list
0: phy0: Wireless LAN
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: yes

[slacko]# rfkill list
0: phy0: wlan
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no

I have tested these under 3.4.9 and 3.5.3 (both i686) on Arch (lsmod on ArchLinux (from the 3.4.9 kernel)) and 3.1.10 (i686 as well) under Slacko (lsmod on Slacko)

Has anybody any hints to point me in the right direction or even a solution to my problem?

Re: [solved] Wlan(Ralink RT2500) hardblocked

Well the "solution" was to use core/linux-lts 3.0.42-1. My Wlan (and the push-button) worked automagically with this kernel
