2 Batteries? acer aspire 1680 series

My laptop thinks it have 2 batteries slots. But there is only room for 1 battery in the laptop. Is there any way I can ignore/remove the extra batery slot?
It's mostly just a annoying as as power levels always display 50% because of the extra battery slot.

acpi info:

acpi -is
Battery 0: slot empty
Battery 1: Full, 97%
Battery 1: design capacity 4400 mAh, last full capacity 2971 mAh = 67%

My laptop is a acer aspire 1680 series

You guys think it's a kernel bug? or somthing else?
