Well since there is a clock instead of a thumbnail I think the thumbnail is stuck in a loop.
Sometimes nautilus takes 90% CPU. But there are no errors when starting nautilus from the terminal.
I hope you can help me.
Offline
Exact the same issue here.
EDIT: I've just verified the thumbnail files are created in my ~/.thumbnails/normal/ folder.
Thank you.

I can't see that any testing package broke the thumbnailer
Please can anyone who doesn't have that issue run the following and give me the output:
ls /usr/bin | grep thumb
and
ls /usr/share/thumbnailers
Please help

thank you very much, unfortunality installing all thumbnailers you have didn't solve my problem. I really don't know what is going on...
Offline
fixed it!
Solution: I disabled the gnome-unstable repository and re-installed glib2
Since I know gnome-unstable is really unstable here's how to get rid of all gnome-unstable packages:
Install paclist from AUR
do
paclist gnome-unstable
while haveing that repo enabled
It will give you a list of packages installed from gnome-unstable.
Just keep them in mind, disable the gnome-unstable repo and reinstall these packages.

I had a similar issue but on Gentoo - having an too new glib2 caused issues - the thumbnails got created but weren't displayed in nautilus
