Skype doesn't detect webcam

Hello,
My Skype is not detecting my webcam, but cheese detects my webcam just fine without any editing. I have tried doing "LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib32/libv4l/v4l1compat.so skype" and it still doesn't work but it gives this "ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib32/libv4l/v4l1compat.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded: ignored." Its a Packard Bell TM98 or TM85 laptop. I am on the 3.5.3-1 Linux Kernel. When I try to do a video call the video / audio option is blacked out so I can not click on it, I can see other people's video and they can hear my audio but I can't get my webcam to work. In the Skype Options it shows my webcam and gives me a preview of my webcam.

lsusb gives "Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0402:9665 ALi Corp. Gateway Webcam" - I have tried to google this problem but nothing has come up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

For some reason it decided to turn my video on once I hit the share my screen option and unshared my screen.

Re: Skype doesn't detect webcam

I am using Arch x86_64, like I said in the edit above it will show my webcam if I turn on screenshare then turn it off than toggle the webcam button a few times in skype.
