CD/USB doesn't boot setup

Hi, av tried burning several CD's with different software at lowest speeds, the setup doesn't start up at boot, av also tried through USB didn't work either. just get a no system disk found. I also tried the CD's from vm with same result. My MB doesn't have UEFI bios, so that can't b the reason. i dont know what is. Av followed the guide to the letter incase ur wondering. Any help would be really appreciated

just to make sure, have you actually selected your cd drive and/or usb as the primary boot-medium when booting up your PC? this can be done in the BIOS settings normally, or by selecting it specifically at boot time.

Yea i had to disable my slave IDE drive, once i did that my main cd drive instantly read it.
Now i need 2 figure out how to mount my other HDD's. anyway thanks for the replies.
