Update Issue

Hey guys,

I am sort of new to using Arch Linux so forgive my lack of knowlege on this subject.

When i try and "sudo pacman -Syu" to update everything, i get this error:

And i don't know what to do.

I tried locating the file and deleting it, but it wouldn't let me.

Seems like the error here would be pertinent...

Re: Update Issue

I suspect you're trying to remove the lock file as an unpriviledged user (read: not root).

Also, did you really need to post an image of the terminal output? Could you not have copied and pasted the terminal output between code tags?

Re: Update Issue

If you are sure there are no other pacman processes open, just delete the file using the cli:

sudo rm /var/lib/pacman/db.lck
