About kernels in a update. Does pacman removes them?

I'm using the -ck kernel, and did a lot of upgrades without space problems (yet) but a question I need know

Does pacman removes the older kernels? Or I should remove them?

example: I were using 3.4.9-ck and now 3.5.3-2-ck

If pacman doesn't, how should I do it?

Essencially pacman overrides new kernel, but if you have linux and linux-ck installed than you have them both as files .
