GDM won't start after changing the video card to Nvidia FX 570M

Hi all,

I have changed my video card to Nvidia Quadro FX 570M from Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M and I cannot start gdm since then.

I have tried to reinstall the nvidia package and even Xorg, didn't help. I also tried to install the Nvidia official driver from the website manually, which didn't help either.

I would really appreciate your help!

when I tried to use "startx", there are errors:

ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia': Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter(see dmesg)

Fatal server error:
no screens found

....
Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.
