Why is it not allowed to place images in the english wiki?
Hello,
in the german wiki I am allowed to upload images as a normal user.
In the english version I am not. Why is it restricted? I think screenshots are
a nice way to describe things.
Or did I miss something?

One reason would be that people would upload large screenshots which, if you are trying to access the information over a slow connection, or a phone, or some sort of accessible technology would render the page pretty useless...
Overall, it would impact on the bandwidth required for hosting and serving pages, for no real benefit.
