[SOLVED] Start brightness at full in grub (because of new inverter)

Hello Everyone,

I trade my PS3 with an MSI MS-1720 (Wonderful laptop big_smile). But the laptop came with brightness problems (no light at all) because of a problem in the inverter. I found an inverter from an HP that is doing the job for know, but the problem is that this inverter only works for max brightness, if I low it a little bit then I have no light at all.

When grub starts, I see the Kernel loading, but then, when udev is started, the brightness go back to 1/8. So is there any chance to start the brightness at 8/8 in order to see anything, using some instruction on Grub2 ?

PS : Sorry for my bad english, it is not my native language.

Thanks in Advance,
Luis Da Costa

Problem solved !

Just need to edit the /boot/grub/grub.cfg and add this to the kernel line :

acpi_osi=Linux acpi_backlight=vendor
