[drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder

On boot (and subsequently), I get spammed by the following message:

[  344.724568] [drm:drm_edid_block_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 128
[  344.724570] Raw EDID:
[  344.724571]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724573]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724574]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724576]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724577]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724579]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724580]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff
[  344.724581]          ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff ff

This starts at 4s into boot and ends, as you see, about 344 seconds in, at which point I get this message:

[  344.724585] radeon 0000:01:00.0: DVI-I-2: Ignoring invalid EDID block 1.

I'm using a dual-link DVI monitor (QNIX QX2700) and obviously am using the open-source radeon driver that comes with the kernel.

Any help would, of course, be appreciated. It could possibly be that my monitor is just sending a bogus EDID, so solutions which tell radeon to just ignore the EDID right away are also very welcome.

The only radeon module parameter I can think of that has something to do with this is hw_i2c. Maybe try setting that to 0 or 1?
