I follow the instructions of the wiki to install bumblebee with intel and nvidia optimus card.
When I run
cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch
I get the following error:
cat: /proc/acpi/bbswitch: No such file or directory
If I try to run
sudo modprobe bbswitch
I get:
ERROR: could not insert 'bbswitch': No such device
I have already installed bbswitch.
Finally If I run:
optirun glxgears
I get
[ 2585.015815] [ERROR]Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [XORG] (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVIDIA GPU at PCI:1:0:0. Please
[ 2585.015922] [ERROR]Aborting because fallback start is disabled.
I boot my system with parameter
pci=noacpi
and I suspect that parameter prevents to load nvidia drivers and bbswitch. Is that true?
I have Dell Inspiron N7110 laptop.

Hi. I had the same errors (except for glxgears, which I hadn't installed). I noticed the problems after ther recent update of kernel to linux 3.5.4-1. My bbswitch version is dkms-bbswitch-git.
I have just run
yaourt -S dkms-bbswitch-git
The command uninstalled bbswitch that was installed for kernel 3.5.3-1 (x86_64) and installed a new wersion for 3.5.4-1.
I haven't run any optirun <something> yet, but
sudo modprobe bbswitch
worked as well as
cat /proc/acpi/bbswitch
So hope this will help you.

I finally found the problem. I unplugged all USB devices and I boot without pci=noacpi. The bumblebee/bbswich works fine. After that I add acpi_backlight=vendor kernel parameter to grub to boot with plugged USB devices. Take a look here: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=734041
