I just got finished installing arch to my laptop (dual boot windows) and then I rebooted. The syslinux boot manager appeared and to test it I selected windows. It blue screened and then rebooted. I did NOT select run repair tools, just boot windows normally. Now it appears syslinux is no longer installed as it boots windows automatically. Why did this happen?
Thanks!

The windows installer does not have any regard for systems with other operating systems. It just blindly and selfishly installs its own bootloader. You can simply reinstall syslinux and edit the config file to boot your windows partition.
CPU-optimized Linux-ck packages @ Repo-ck • AUR packages • Zsh and other configs

syslinux was already edited to boot the windows OS. once it booted it BSOD'd and overwrote syslinux.

Was Arch installed on a separate drive (drive, not a partition) ? Post your partitioning scheme.
