I hope it stays alive. Right now, on my torrent client I'm seeding their latest iso, to help any user who wants to get it.

"open source is about choice"
No.
Open source is about opening the source code complying with this conditions, period. The ability to choose among several packages is just a nice side effect.

Re: archPPC dead or alive ?

I am going to try and take over the project, I just hope I know enough to do it... I may not be able to do it by myself tho.

If I can get a cross compiler working, then I hope that I'll be able to help. My iBook just isn't fast enough.

Re: archPPC dead or alive ?

I am somehow a noob, but if you need some power I have a g4 (500MHz,2Gb ram) and a G5 Quad 2.5 (2Gb ram).
I bet that if there is a "movement" to restore archPPC guys from PPC Ludite Blog (http://ppcluddite.blogspot.pt/) and Powerpc Liberation (http://powerpcliberation.blogspot.pt/) can give an hand too.
