Samsung NP530U4B-S01FR: power problems

Hi all!

I'm running archlinux x86_64 and KDE 4.9.1 on this Ultrabook, and experience problems (surely all linked together), which are in decreasing importance:

Battery life is only about 2 hours, whereas Windows7 can get up to 6!
Computer is hot (~70°C)
Sector adaptater is not correctly recognized
KDE does not put computer into sleep mode when the lid is closed

So first, I'll tell you what I tried to solve the first issue (and all these failed).
I use systemd so, no acpid (here).
powertop does not significantly expand battery life (only +15minutes when I check everything to "Good")

Decreasing screen brightness almost does nothing (+3minutes battery life)

My other Laptop (Acer 8942g) is running Archlinux @ 45°C.
I have 2 graphical cards on the laptop: intelHD4000 and ATI Radeon HD6xxx. I'd like to use the ATI one but well, 'fglrx' refuses to launch (invalid bios signature) and 'radeon' is not as good as 'intel' and makes the computer even hotter

So I use the intel one and, even when I disable Desktop Effects (KWin), computer is still hot. Windows does not make my PC burn like that: it is no ventilation (?) problem.

I'm experiencing the same problem on a Samsung series 5 530u.

Did you find a solution to the lid and/or adapter problem?

I have seen kernel bugreports for the same but no resolution.

And I don't think downgrading the kernel would be a great idea. I have these entries to GRUB2 right now :

"quiet pcie_aspm=force i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1 i915.semaphores=1 modprobe.blacklist=radeon"

Hope it helps, please share all the aforementioned files, so we can try some things...
