I'm using a program called 'rumor' to collect input from a usb music keyboard, and supply it to the score typesetting program Lilypond.
I haven't used it for a few months, and now when I try it, rumor keeps complaining:
ALSA port connection error; do it manually using `aconnect'
which I do:
aconnect 20:0 14:0
where:
aconnect -lio
client 0: 'System' [type=kernel]
0 'Timer '
1 'Announce '
client 14: 'Midi Through' [type=kernel]
0 'Midi Through Port-0'
Connected From: 20:0
client 20: 'CASIO USB-MIDI' [type=kernel]

Connecting To: 14:0
but rumor keeps complaining about the port connection error and not producing any output (as it did before).
BTW I've also tried the other way around:
aconnect 14:0 20:0
without success.
Any ideas anyone?
