Where's the other 3/5 of my swap space?!

Right now, I have a 5 GB swap partition. But my system only sees 2 GB of swap space - I have 3 gigs of space being used for nothing! Where'd my swap space go?

Okay, quite overdone... :oops: Stupid. Should just use a swap file if I find myself short of memory.

Doesn't matter anymore; I've deleted the swap partition.

Unless you have an insanely small amount of memory you should just run a swap partition of around 1GB. It'll do for most stuff.

I have 384 megs, 64 of which are unavailable because of my onboard video hardware.

(Methinks I'll do away with swap partitions, and just set up a swap file when I need it.)
