System does not recognize installation media.

I have been trying to install Arch Linux on a Toshiba Qosmio G25-AV513. This is an older system, around 2006 or 2007. I am able to install Slackware and OpenBSD just fine, but wanted to try out Arch on it. Any suggestions as to why the media is not recognized as boot-able?

Thanks.

How are you creating your media?

Are you using a CD or USB? How did you put Arch on the media?

Re: System does not recognize installation media.

I downloaded the Arch Linux .iso and burned it with cdrecord to a cd-r. I am using a cd/dvd drive in the laptop.
