Alsa problems with mpg321

alsa gave me errors when playing mp3s with mpg321

ALSA lib confmisc.c:672:(snd_func_card_driver) cannot find card '100'
ALSA lib conf.c:3479:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_card_driver returned error: No such device
ALSA lib confmisc.c:392:(snd_func_concat) error evaluating strings
ALSA lib conf.c:3479:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_concat returned error: No such device
ALSA lib confmisc.c:955:(snd_func_refer) error evaluating name
ALSA lib conf.c:3479:(_snd_config_evaluate) function snd_func_refer returned error: No such device
ALSA lib conf.c:3948:(snd_config_expand) Evaluate error: No such device
ALSA lib pcm.c:2090:(snd_pcm_open_noupdate) Unknown PCM default
No default libao driver available.

but i can play mp3 with beep-media-player...

i've another problems with alsa where i put alsactl restore in /etc/rc.conf & giving error "cannot sound card" but again when i check alsamixer the settings are ok.

I would re run alsaconf........

and if you haven't already pacman -S alsa-oss

mpg321 now can play mp3 after uncomment the alsa-oss entries in /etc/modprobe.conf but errors still there

have you tried clearing out modprobe.conf and re-running alsaconf?

just performed pacman -Suy...will feedback later since i've problems in loading the modules...
