alsa gave me errors when playing mp3s with mpg321

but i can play mp3 with beep-media-player...
i've another problems with alsa where i put alsactl restore in /etc/rc.conf & giving error "cannot sound card" but again when i check alsamixer the settings are ok.

I would re run alsaconf........
and if you haven't already pacman -S alsa-oss

mpg321 now can play mp3 after uncomment the alsa-oss entries in /etc/modprobe.conf but errors still there

have you tried clearing out modprobe.conf and re-running alsaconf?

just performed pacman -Suy...will feedback later since i've problems in loading the modules...
