Re: 2012.06-1 archboot "2k12-R3" ISO hybrid images released

I installed experimental systemd during install on the laptop of a friend of mine. It works. I hope it is not connected with it, but when I try to connect networkmanager to his AndroidAP (Wi-Fi via Galaxy Tab) the system hangs (GUI) for 1-2 minutes. It doesn't happen when I use normal AP. Strange.

Re: 2012.06-1 archboot "2k12-R3" ISO hybrid images released

I tried the new beta on a Mid-2012 MacBook Air.  By copying the extracted iso to a usb drive, trying to boot via efi simply hangs.
Literally nothing happens after selecting the device.  Any idea how to debug this?

I know a normal boot requires "intremap=off" or "noapic", but I don't know much about efi booting.  Others have reported success
on this model with the previous (June) archboot.  I did not, however, have any luck.  Thanks for all the hard work!

arch-wiki--lite need fold and zgrep (or zless, zcat not remmember) for work and tose tow arenot in the iso
and in my Laptop, the screen not refresh correctly before and command show the remainent as part of the scren (or put a waqllpepr and put a chair using copy-paste 'a la' paint) I need run a comand that fill the screen or change menu to submenus to clear correctly the screen
this happen in the old iso too
probably due to the blacklistin og gma500_gfx

Well, I suppose that this is somekind of signature, no?

I think the correct way is to extract it IN the usb drive. At least that was what worked for me the last time if i remember correctly.

In?  Hmmm. . . . I won't be able to try it for a day or two, but I just want to be clear.  You're saying to place the iso on the drive, and then extract it there?  I'll give that a try and report back I guess.  Thanks!

I don't know what are you using to extract the iso but in my case i used the gnome archive manager and specified as target the usb stick.

FSUUID and FSNAME from a gpt partition (the recommended for a gpt part) not work
the fstab remain using KERNEL names in there

The patch at https://gist.github.com/1080899 (for archboot git repo) should fix this.

Re: 2012.06-1 archboot "2k12-R3" ISO hybrid images released

@89c51:
That's a no go.  Extracting directly to the drive is basically the same as mounting the iso then copying all files to the mounted USB.  Unfortunately, I think this is a Mac issue.  Thanks for the help anyway!  I mostly need the UEFI boot for installing my bootloader.  So maybe I can just do that part from the old install media. . . . Thanks!
