When I run pacman -Syu, I get the following warning:
warning: dependency cycle detected:
warning: systemd will be installed before its dbus-core dependency
When I check the dependencies for each of those, I notice that systemd depends on dbus-core and dbus-core depends on systemd, which probably explains the dependency-cycle warning. Question is: does this mean that this warning can safely be ignored, or is something going to get messed up when I apply the update? Or is this a bug in one of the packages' dependency definition?

It just means you have to install both at the same time, which pacman will take care of. Don't worry about it, just let pacman do it's thing.

We should sort this out. It should not be a problem, so no need to worry though.
