Hi.
I used to have Openoffice 1.1.4 from the repositories and I uninstalled before the late update.
I did pacman -S openoffice-base openoffice-en
and it posted an error about openoffice-en.
I did pacman -Sy
and pacman -Ss openoffice and the package openoffice-en dosen't exist
Is it gone? Can I install Openoffice still?

Try reinstalling:
pacman -S openoffice-base openoffice-en
If you still get the error message, post it.

Are you sure the package name didn't change to 'openoffice-spell-en'?

have you checked which repos you have in your pacman list?
testing/openoffice-en 1.1.5-1
OpenOffice english language files
extra/openoffice-base 1.1.4-4
OpenOffice base files
extra/openoffice-spell-en 20040623-2
OpenOffice english spellchecker files

Thank you for your replies.
I don't use [testing]
I use [current] [extra] [community] repositories
Here what I get:
[root@myhost giorgos]# pacman -S openoffice-base openoffice-en
openoffice-en: not found in sync db

Ah, yes, it seems like the language packs for openoffice has disappeared, for some reason... Please, put them back! It wont work without them

Yes that seems to be the problem.
The language packas eg openoffice-en have dissapeared from the repositories.
Please someone put them back so we can reinstall Openoffice.
Thank you.
