alsa sound laptop problem

Hello everybody
i have a small problem with alsa sound,
what's the point? When i want to hear sound from laptop output sound doesn't work, when i plug in headphones or different audio hardware sound is working!
what could happend ? meybe somebody has a similar problem ?

have you unmuted the channel ?

If you don't have pulseaudio installed then you may need to install it and also for output sound system, pavucontrol works for most desktop environments which is basically a sound manager - this is maybe what you need.
