On the Poulsbo page:
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Poulsbo
"Poor multimedia performance (use mplayer with x11 or sdl so fullscreen video will be quite slow)"
Poulsbo is a very poorly supported piece of hardware, there isn't much that can be done except wait the ages for the open-source driver to improve.

i know the wiki about poulsbo and i tried all the video mode
can i use this driver
psb-kmod ?
it seems to work with 2.6.37 kernel

No you can't use psb-kmod if it was made for Linux 2.6.37. Arch's current Linux is 3.5.6. That is light-years different from 2.6.37. Seriously: Poulsbo is a nightmare under Linux. Good luck.

The EMGD driver supports newer kernels. Up to 3.3 I think, but definitely the 3.0 LTS kernel that Arch packages. Probably requires using an older X version though, so that's a hassle. Still, if I had Poulsbo, I'd try getting the EMGD driver running. There's packages in AUR.

Anyone had any luck with the EMGD? I am considering getting into making drivers myself since waiting for updates since 3 years have ended up in a "slight" improvement.
