Torchlight crashes when loading floor 20 with a “zero sized texture” error on Intel HD Graphics.

Torchlight’s installer doesn’t work, wether I choose to “register” or not, it gets stuck in an infinite loop or something at the time of installing. top shows that “gtk” is using 100% cpu time.
Edit: unchecking “register” and selecting a directory that doesn’t require root access seems to solve it.
It should pop up a password prompt - maybe you just did not notice it because it ended up underneath other windows? (Happened to me before... :-/)
Or maybe some problem with GTK prevented it from appearing.
Anyways, you can probably safe yourself some trouble (regarding future upgrades of the game, which especially for this game I do expect due to the outstanding known bugs on Linux) if you install it using the torchlight-hib package available in the AUR, instead of running the GUI installer.
Pay more than the average of $6.16 to unlock these five games!
(obviously the average should be rising as a result of this)
I think what counts is the average at the time you bought the bundle, though. So it's different for everybody.
Bad news: Bit Trip Runner is umaintained and marked as out of date. Although I admit, I haven't tried it yet (Too many games!).
Any update to that package would be appreciated!
Done :-)

This is discussed here: http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=34893 (the workaround seems to be to manually modify one of the game's textures with Gimp).

I find that Shatter runs at about 85% of my CPU for no apparent reason, as soon as it launches. Has anyone else encountered this?

Yes, the “freeze” happens right after the password prompt.

Excellent, thanks! I unpacked pak.zip, copied trail39.dds on top of trail37.dds, repacked pak.zip, and it’s not crashing anymore.

Relevant information on known problems & solutions regarding these games is right now scattered over this thread, the games' AUR pages, and various upstream forums.
I've started collecting that info in condensed form in a central place, here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Us … e_Bundle_6
Help is welcome.

I know this sounds stupid, but are you using the right password? When I entered the admin password, it hung like that, but when I entered my user's password as if it were being done via sudo, it worked fine.

Indeed, I entered the “admin” (root) password as instructed, and not my user’s password. So the installer is doubly bugged…

Ehhhhh yeah sorry, "root" not "admin". My brain's in the wrong context at the moment.

No worries, that’s (almost) the word Torchlight’s installer uses… “Please enter the administrative password”.

Thank you! Installed and tested. Works very well! (64-bit).

When I try to install Rochard from AUR, I get the message 'failed to extend '/tmp/yaourt-tmp-ian/aur-rochard-hib/pkg/opt/Rochard/Rochard_data/Mono/etc/mono/2.0/[several different file names]: no space left on device'. /tmp is on the same drive/partition as root, which is 19.2GB and only 40% full. Any ideas what's going wrong and how to fix it?
Offline
/tmp is mounted on a tmpfs which is essentially located in memory. tmpfs uses half your memory by default.
Change the build directory in yaourt's configuration or use makepkg yourself.

I installed the new linux Torchlight build, and it did in fact fix the fullscreen issue. I have dual monitors, and after running Torchlight once, it switched my gnome3 hotcorners from my primary to secondary monitor.
Any idea about this?

I'm having trouble with Torchlight and Rochard. I installed both via the installers in AUR. I googled around a bit and see no one else with similar issues, so I'm not sure what I've done wrong.
Torchlight gave me errors regarding libOgre:
> torchlight
torchlight: error while loading shared libraries: libOgreMain-1.6.5.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
I added /opt/Torchlight/lib64/ to a file in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/ and ran ldconfig, which fixed that. However, now when I run the "torchlight", I get the follow error in the console, and accompanying alert display the error:
MessageBox: Could not locate game binary :: Initialization Error
> ls /opt/Torchlight/
icons logo.bmp pak.zip resources.cfg Torchlight.png
lib64 music README.linux Torchlight.bin.x86_64
Rochard gives me the following error:
> rochard
Set current directory to /opt/Rochard
Found path: /opt/Rochard/Rochard
There is no data folder
> ls /opt/Rochard/
changelog.txt EULA.rtf README Rochard Rochard_Data

@bluephoenix47
That is indeed weird...
Does it also happen when you manually cd to the game directory first, and call it from there? i.e...
cd /opt/Torchlight
./Torchlight.bin.x86_64

@sas, Yes indeed. The very same error.

Ah nevermind. I have upx set by default in /etc/makepkg.conf. I forget about it sometimes, should it should be my default thought when a build acts wonky. Adding options=("!upx") to the PKGBUILDs ensures they work fine.
Offline
@bluephoenix47:
Any idea what it is about those executables that makes them break when makepkg compresses them with upx?
Does upx generally not work with programs that depend on bundled (rather than system-wide installed) libraries?

@sas
I'm not sure what causes them to break with UPX. None of the HIB games seem to work with UPX enabled, and a few other AUR packages (e.g. dropbox) don't work properly with UPX.
Now that you mention it, it does sound like the bundled libraries are a common factor, but I couldn't say for sure.

Did anyone find out how to fix the texture bug in shatter? (Where some of the textures appear black.)
Yes, install lib32-libtxc_dxtn (in case of 64bit Arch Linux) or libtxc_dxtn (in case of 32bit Arch Linux) from AUR.

Nice, I was looking forward to this game. Hopefully we see a PKGBUILD for it soon in AUR.

Just posted a preview of a PKGBUILD file for Vessel from HIB6:

looking for feedback, many thanks!

PKGBUILD works fine here! Only problem is that vessel runs really slow! I think thats a problem of the port + my hardware though, hoping for a update from humblebundle that will fix this issue as far as possible.
Thanks for the PKGBUILD, by the way

Yeah, mine runs very slowly too. I had to reduce the resolution to about the size of a YouTube video before it was remotely playable.
