[SOLVED] Laptop hotkeys don't work after update.

Hey guys.

I just updated my arch install and now some of my hotkeys do not work.

fn+F1 -> toggle touchpad -> works but no OSD
fn+F2 -> toggle LCD -> works
fn+F3 -> mute/unmute -> not working
fn+F4 -> suspend -> not working
fn+F5 -> volume down -> not working
fn+F6 -> volume up -> not working
fn+F8 -> lcd brightness down -> not working
fn+F9 -> lcd brightness up -> not working
fn+F11 -> wireless toggle -> woking
fn+F12 -> bluetooth toggle -> working

I'm using Gnome3. Is this a bug? Am I missing a package? Is there any way to get this functionality back? I don't even know where to start in the Wiki for this. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

edit: I went into Gnome's keyboard settings and added a custom keyboard shortcut for Volume up/down/mute and the volume would not adjust with these new shortcuts. This is not a key mapping issue this is something else. I can't use the keyboard to adjust my volume at all.

Re: [SOLVED] Laptop hotkeys don't work after update.

Hey thanks!! The solution in the 3rd post on that tread worked for me. Don't know why I couldn't find that with google. Because I did a full re-install I didn't have the old packages in my cache but I had another laptop kicking around with the right packages on it. I just copied them over, installed and set pacman to ignore updates to those packages. Done and done!
