Firefox: Opening everything in tabs possible?

Hi @all,

I'am using wmii and so I hate popups (like everybody does) and links that opens a site in a new firefox-window. Is there a way to force firefox to open everything in new tabs? I know Opera does it this way but I don't like this browser.

For the download-manager I found this:
http://dmextension.mozdev.org/

Thx for every answer.

greetings
Mathias

Re: Firefox: Opening everything in tabs possible?

try the Tabbrowser-Prefrences extension

Also, there's a "single window" mode and things like that.

Problem is that popups are not made to be easilly defeatable - unless you shut of javascript you're going to get them.

Re: Firefox: Opening everything in tabs possible?

Also consider the Tabbrowser Extensions extension, which performs almost every tab-related function imaginable. Tab grouping, reordering, selecting which tab to make active after closing one, undoing tab closes, colour-coding/renaming, very fine control of exactly what creates a new tab or uses the active tab or pops up a new window...

If you're sick of popups, use the Adblock and Filterset.G Updater extensions. Since installing Filterset.G Updater, I haven't seen a single ad.
