Hi,
since some updates Dolphin has the new menu point "Recently Accessed" with the four items "Today", "Yesterday", "This Month" and "Last Month".
The idea sounds good but when I click on the items all I get is an empty window. The only exception is "Last Month" which shows some folders and files but this are only files stored in my Dropbox Folder.
File indexing is activated and set to all folders in /home. What I've also noticed: There are no icons for the single items, only a white sheet whit an "?" on it.
Any ideas how to get this working (and maybe how I can get more beautiful icons by default)?
Thanks in advance!

Is the indexing actually working? For me it stops frequently because of dbus errors. Check the nepomuk tray icon. Also try forcing a reindex and see if that fixes it.
About the icons: that's a known issue that doesn't seem to be fixed even though the upstream bug says so, but you can easily change them yourself (right click, edit entry)
Edit: Actually it seems to be fixed, but if you used a previous version (4.9.1) where it wasn't, the broken icons are already saved in ~/.kde4/share/apps/kfileplaces/bookmarks.xml and will still show up. You have to remove the entries manually from bookmarks.xml

The tray icon only says that file indexing is idle. I'm currently running the reindexing (will take some time).
I was able to fix the icons (now showing the nepomuk icon). I was aware of the manual way but was wondering, why there were no default icons. Thanks so far. I'll report when reindexing has finished.

Ok, reindexing has fixed the problem.
Thanks arojas!

Seems, it is not solved. For example the "Today" window is still empty although I opened some files and I can see them under recently used in the menu.

Post your fstab.
I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).

Good idea, but the noatime option is only active for my music/video partition.
$ cat /etc/fstab
#
# /etc/fstab: static file system information
#
# <file system> <dir> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs nodev,nosuid 0 0
/dev/sda3 / ext4 defaults 0 1
/dev/sda5 /home ext4 defaults,user_xattr 0 1
/dev/sda7 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/sda6 /home/thomas/Multimedia ext4 defaults,noatime 0 1
#NFS

add this
fs.inotify.max_user_instances = 524288
to your sysctl.conf
nepomuk need inotify on every directory to monitor the filesystem change, but the normal limit is too low. AFAIK this has no side effect.

Still no success. The last entries Dolphin shows in the list are in the folder from October, 12th
