MythTV 0.26.0-1 :: MainServer initialization error / upgrade from 0.24

After upgrading mythtv from 0.24 to 0.26, mythbackend won't start. The logged output is here:

Have you loaded the MySQL Time Zone Tables as per the pacman output when you upgraded? (it would've directed you to http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/MySQL_Time_Zone_Tables)

Yes, the Time Zone Tables are installed and working fine. The mythbackend log has no Time Zone errors.

I just upgraded and i seem to have the same problem as you.

I solved it after some searching, i had disabled ipv6 which causes 0.26 to choke.

Strange, I had also disabled ipv6, or so I thought, so I don't think that was my problem... anyway, I downgraded to 0.25 and am running happily now.

Perhaps you misunderstood me, if you disable ipv6 you ARE in trouble with 0.26.

Okay, so that's the problem then... I recall ipv6 causing problems when ENABLED so I DISABLED it earlier this year. Thanks for the insight.
