I just noticed that the media keys on my keyboard are not working: volume up, volume down, mute,...
Also, ctrl+alt+L is not locking my screen.
I'm wondering if this is a gnome-settings-daemon issue. g-s-d is running, and working in part because it sets my background, but why are none of these other keys working?
Which application actually handles these keys? I've often wondered about the volume keys in particular. Who is drawing the volume bar / mute symbol on the screen? The sound applet? g-s-d?
Any ideas? Thanks!

I had the exact same issue dgbaley27, karol is correct, that is the same bug, for now I downgraded the packages, 'xf86-input-evdev, xorg-server-common, and xorg-server' until gnome 3.6 is released.

Thanks guys. None of that explains what is actually going on, but I guess it's good enough knowing a fix is coming.

Well. That's not a fix. Gnome 3.6 is a upgrade.

I reported the bug. And as I upgraded to gnome unstable, it went away.

Downgrading 'xf86-input-evdev, xorg-server-common, and xorg-server' worked for me as well. We await resolution...
