I can't upgrade catalyst

Hi, guys.
I have W8 and Arch in my machine and it's been maybe two/three weeks since the last time i booted with Arch. I have the propietary driver installed with the unofficial repository and, I'm not sure if it has something to do with the problem, i changed my old ati hd5770 for an ati hd7850 last week.

Now the problem is today i'm trying to update my system with pacman and it doesn't work. Here is the output:

:: Synchronizing package databases ...
  Catalyst is updated
  core is updated
  Extra is updated
  community is updated
  multilib is updated
:: Starting full system upgrade ...
resolving dependencies ...
attention: could not resolve "linux <3.6", a dependency of "catalyst"
:: The following package can not be updated because of dependencies that could not be resolved:
       Catalyst

Want to skip the following package for this update? [s / N] s
Conflict checking ...
Error: Failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: Catalyst: requires linux <3.6

Any help?

Thanks in advance.

Re: I can't upgrade catalyst

Get rid of that unoffical repository and use "catalyst-dkms", "catalyst-utils", and "lib-32-catalyst-utils" (optional only needed for 32 bit support) from the offical [community] repository.  It's using the 12.9 beta which I'm guessing is needed for the latest kernel and Xorg.  Alternatively, you can see if they have a "catalyst-test" package in the unoffical repos but I'm just saying I use the offical ones and they work for me with linux 3.6.2 and xorg-server 1.13.

Because it worked rather well and catalyst-utils is a new package AFAICS https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit … lyst-utils

IIRC using the unofficial repo was the recommended way to get catalyst to work.
Somebody may create a new repository for the new xorg-server https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AM … positories
