ParallelPort

Hello

I'm a total newbie in arch, and just to make it a little more fun i have startet without KDE.
But have some deep troubles, i wanna use me machine as a server, both file and printer server, i have everything working, except my printer.

I found out my printer is registreted on a parport0 but i can't seem to load it, it dosn't seem it's in /dev/ were is it.

I'm not used to work with linux so if someone can help me it would be great. I have a Cups server running and when i install my printer: HP Deskjet 815C it's writes under URI: /dev/unknown-parallel0
WHY!!!!!!
Everthing is great except that.

And then i have a Lexmark to on USB and have the same problem there except it's on the USB drive

Re: ParallelPort

If you use uDev, it should be /dev/lp0. Note that you must load the lp and parport-pc modules manually.
