[SOLVED] How to stop sound from other app lowering the volume?

Excuse me if the title puzzles you... not a native speaker.

Anyway, say I'm listening to music with Spotify, and then the terminal makes a beep, then the volume of the music would go down, and the beep normal.
Another annoying situation is whenever a Flash content is active in Chrome, it lowers the volume of the music as well, no matter there's sound coming out of the Flash clip or not.

Any solution to stop this behavior? GNOME3 here.

See if disabling flat volumes helps. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pu … is_started
