try2 has been out for quite a while, why isn't there any package for it?I'd compile myself but gcc-4.0.1 doesn't seem to be compatible

it should build, if you do it manually, it warns it is unsupported and ask if you wish to continue...
it's just that makepkg is automated, if there was a way to add for a response in the pkgbuild it would work

Thanks for the link. I'm able to build the package now(but without -enable-live support, but that's ok). Why isn't there an official package yet? Is dorphell still with arch?

Any idea why gmplayer says 'enable-runtime-cpudetection' is NOT optimal?

AT a guess I would say it is because it would be OPTIMAL to configure your CPU type at build time rather than rely on it to detect it at run time of course I'm sure google or the mplayer docs could tell you MUCH more....

Not this again.
It's been flagged out-of-date, so dorphell will get to it when he can. If you're unhappy in the meantime, build your own. That's how it works around here, in case you hadn't noticed.

Well I've been here long enough to notice that packages get updated really fast, and so was a little suprised when an important package like mplayer hasn't been updated in more than a month. Of course I can build my own, and have done so already, (if you read the posts above), but I'm more curious to know the status of the maintainer. Anyway dorphell seems to have a lot of packages on his hands so I guess he must be busy.
