Could someone make me a PKGBUILD for rake? http://rake.rubyforge.org/
I tried, but it's just not working for me because the install.rb script doesn't seem to have an --prefix option, and installing everything by hand makes rake not work...

Use the gem installer.
gem install rake

Use the gem installer.
gem install rake
I don't want to though... That means no pacman tracking, and I hate it when stuff isn't tracked.

But it will be tracked with the gems system...granted you'd have to look in two places to look at "all" of your packages, but you could just assume that anything Ruby related would be handled by the gem system. Have you found a way to get Rails installed without using gem?

I broke down. Got it working using rubygems.
