I'm missing makepkg.conf

Well, I accidentally deleted /etc/makepkg.conf, and I don't find a sample anywhere. How do I generate a new one?

Re: I'm missing makepkg.conf

1. From your backup.
2. Have you tried reinstalling pacman?

Re: I'm missing makepkg.conf

You can also grab https://projects.archlinux.org/svntogit … ges/pacman but I think you have to edit

CARCH="@CARCH@"
CHOST="@CHOST@"

etc. to e.g.

CARCH="i686"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"

by hand.

Re: I'm missing makepkg.conf

$ pkgfile makepkg.conf
core/pacman
$ aunpack /var/cache/pacman/pkg/pacman-4.0.3-3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
$ cd pacman-4.0.3-3-x86_64.pkg.tar/etc/
$ ls -l makepkg.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 msthev users 5035 Jul 10 23:49 makepkg.conf

And then just copy it to the desired location.
