Possible to go back to initscripts?

I recently installed Arch(after a long break), to discover that my beloved rc.conf no longer existed!

Checking the front page, I discovered rather quickly that systemd was to be the new default for arch.

I would like to know, is it possible, as a current user to revert to the old way, with the daemon array?

Also, given this:

"However, individual packages may now start relying on the system being booted with systemd."

and assuming this were even possible, would it be wise to do it at all?

Re: Possible to go back to initscripts?

I'm still using initscripts, so just install the package and set your Arch to use rc.conf instead the systemd framework.
I doubt that's a good idea, if you don't have any technical problems with systemd and a working systemd setup, since you'll have to use systemd anyway soonish.

Re: Possible to go back to initscripts?

Why? What's wrong with systemd?

You say you read the front page? You must have skipped this:

As some packages still lack native systemd units, users can install the initscripts package and use the DAEMONS array in /etc/rc.conf to start services using the legacy rc.d scripts.

Yes I read it, my question was about it being possible while already using pure systemd

Re: Possible to go back to initscripts?

It is possible? Sure. BUT, it sound like initscripts is going away, and your "beloved" rc.conf has been gutted anyway. It's really only a place for the daemon array anymore.
