Mute pulseaudio at startup & shutdown to remove static noise

Hi there,

Is it possible to start pulseaudio muted, and to mute it before it's disabled, so that the static cannot be heard? The sound is rather jarring to the ears when you have headphones on!

hmm... there is something wrong if you have static noise...

Tbh I think it's just the onboard sound is shoddy. I've bought an external sound card as I need it for my car's audio anyway. I'll let you know if that fixes it!
