Hey guys,
I just finished following the beginner's guide to installing Arch. I thought everything when great until I got a blank screen after taking out the install CD and rebooting. To be more specific, I get to the syslinux graphical boot menu, press enter to boot into Arch Linux, watch various [OK] events scroll up the screen and then... nothing. No log in prompt, no terminal, just a back lit black screen.
Any tips?
Thanks!

What graphics solution are you using? LCD or CRT monitor? If CRT, do you get a message like "signal out of range" or similar? Have you tried to disable KMS modesetting? The X.Org log might be useful...

The video card is an old nvidia geforce mx400 connected to my LCD monitor via VGA. I am not getting any messages but will check the x.org log.
Read up on KMS...
Will do.

Heh, I use to have that card. Use Nouveau and enable early start.
I have made a personal commitment not to reply in topics that start with a lowercase letter. Proper grammar and punctuation is a sign of respect, and if you do not show any, you will NOT receive any help (at least not from me).
