[Solved] Pacman Slow

Hello friends,

Since i started to mount some network shares under /mnt, pacman is a  horrible slow when installing packages.

"checking file conflicts" takes many minutes to finish. The slowness disappears if the network computers are turned off.

I do not know why pacman looking for conflicts in /mnt, and did not find any setting where i could exclude that folder in scan.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Thanks!

Re: [Solved] Pacman Slow

Have you checked for symlinks/mount --binds/etc that might point to /mnt?

You could detect the first with "find -L / -samefile /mnt" or "find / -lname '*/mnt*'. The former will miss symlinks to paths in /mnt while the latter may return symlinks to other things. Check "find"'s man page for better options.
For the mounts I would check mtab and/or /proc/self/mount*.

Sorry if this doesn't help. I'm just dumping some ideas until better ones come along.
