After a reboot of my linux system, I had an EXT3 filesystem error on my root partition. So, I ran FSCK to fix the problem, but now my / partition is stuck in Read only mode. Even if I try to remount "mount: block device /dev/hda2 is write-protected, mounting read-only"....
Anyone have any ideas what's happening? Is this maybe a udev issue or something? I appreciate any help. Thanks

Well, I fixed the problem. Turns out there were some bad blocks on the file system that fsck just didn't want to touch. So i manually mounted the filesystem and deleted them. somethings in var/lib/pacman/ were causing problems. That's my linux (cue corny music)

Bad blocks? Your HDD okay?
(Next time, you might want to use JFS... 8) )

HD Seems to be fine......I usually switch filesystems between reiser and ext3. Never tried jfs though....
