RAID0 Installation on RAID0: Couldn't parse stripe destination

Hey everyone,

when using the 2012.10.06 Arch CD, I have trouble getting my RAID0 detected. "dmraid -ay" gives me:

[ 348.384111] device-mapper: table: 254:3: striped: Couldn't parse stripe destination
RAID set "isw_jefbgadbi_Volume0" was not activated
ERROR: device "isw_jefbgadbi_Volume0" could not be found

My RAID0 is working without any problems with Windows and I have no problems to enable it when using Ubuntu. In fact, there is even an Arch system on there I'm currently trying to fix. sad
Can anyone help me out?

best regards

Re: RAID0 Installation on RAID0: Couldn't parse stripe destination

Do you plan to have your root partition on your RAID array? How is the RAID array managed (which kind of chipset are you using)?
I'm asking because I'm afraid you'll not get far with dmraid here, as systemd has no support for it as far as I know. dmraid is in "maintenance mode" and its functionality is being moved to mdadm. Unfortunately, not every chipset for fakeRAID is supported by mdadm (actually, only intel isms is supported afaik). systemd authors just don't care about it.
That being said, dmraid should work after boot if you try to assemble the array manually, but I don't know what could cause your issue.
