SciNum: Scientific numbers with units and uncertainty in Python

The name subject says it all. The package provides various wrappers around the decimal.Decimal object (arbitrary precision arithmetic) with support for uncertainty,  significant figures, and arbitrary units, including interconversion and dimensional analysis.

You can find a practical example here that shows how to do basic calculations and unit substitutions.
