Re: [Solved] Yaourt 301

I get a similar error (always 301) when doing:

yaourt -Syua

The URL http://aur.archlinux.org/rpc.php?type=multiinfo&arg[]=4suite&arg[]=android-udev ... returned error : 301

I have only just noticed it doing this.

Andrew.

Re: [Solved] Yaourt 301

Error 301 is an indication that the target URL has permanently moved.

sigurd is up again. TUs should be able to use SVN and devtools as
before.

The AUR has been moved to alderaan -- if there's any issues with the new
setup, please let us know. Thanks to Ionut and Pierre who helped me with
migrating to the new server.

It would appear there is an issue with a permanent move.  Someone who uses Yaourt should post a bug report on the AUR page

Re: [Solved] Yaourt 301

I just started getting this maybe 2 days ago. At first I thought it's due to me accidentally changing the permission of the directory and files for /tmp, however, even after I corrected it I am still getting the error.

[sho@arch ~]$ yaourt -Syua

Any ideas? I've tried to open that link manually in browser and it works just fine.

Same here.

However, I noticed that there was a new version of yaourt.  For my other Arch computers, I just un-commented the yaourt sever in pacman.conf, ran pacman -Syyu to get the update, ran yaourt -Syua to see whats been missing.  Everything worked post yaourt upgrade so I got rid of .yaourtrc in home.

None of the echo commands worked for me what did though was upgrading yaourt to 1.2-1.

Now I'm getting

curl error: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with given CA certificates

instead. Any ideas?

Edit: in fact, I had to delete ~/.yaourtrc to install new packages from the AUR, because that error message would pop up, blocking me.

Re: [Solved] Yaourt 301

Update your installation of yaourt and package-query, this was fixed upstream a few days ago. Also, you can remove your ~/.yaourtrc if you didn't have one prior to the echo redirect, it's no longer necessary.

$ package-query -v
package-query 1.1

$ yaourt -V
yaourt 1.2.1
homepage: http://archlinux.fr/yaourt-en

$ yaourt -Ssa package-query
aur/package-query 1.1-2 [installed] (1647)
    Query ALPM and AUR
aur/package-query-git 20120121-1 (195)
    Query ALPM and AUR

Re: [Solved] Yaourt 301

Don't want to necro-bump this, but none of these solutions work for me, not with yaourt and not with packer.
I can download the tarballs from the AUR through a browser and install them that way.   Connecting to the AUR with yaourt and packer however, is impossible.
Nothing happens, not even a time-out after a while.
Last package I tried to install was dropbox, but it just got stuck.   Tried to change the url in the PKGBUILD from www.dropbox.com to linux.dropbox.com (since I'm close to China and connections to www.dropbox.com are blocked by our block-thirsty friends) but this time it was no use.

Running package-query 1.1 and yaourt 1.2.1.

.yaourtrc looks like this:

AURURL=https://aur.archlinux.org
TMPDIR=/home/stef/.yaourt_temp

/usr/lib/yaourt/util.sh was already updated to https as well.

Re: [Solved] Yaourt 301

What version of yaourt do you have?  If you don't have 1.2.1, do this:

1) add this to etc/pacman.conf where your repositories are listed

[archlinuxfr]
Server = http://repo.archlinux.fr/$arch

2) remove .yaourtrc from your home directory

3) run pacman -Syyu.  You should have an update for youart.

4) once updated, comment out the stuff you added to pacman.conf

Thanks.

I already had yaourt 1.2.1 but installed from this repo anyway.
Unfortunately, no change.    Any yaourt command (in any AUR helper for that matter) just hangs.

The funny thing is that when I run yaourt -Syua, it does provide output and offers to update out of date packages from the AUR (in this case dropbox), which I can't seem to install:

:: Synchronizing package databases...

I'm not sure how you could even test if your system is talking to the AUR if everything is being blocked.  Connection by proxy perhaps?
