Good day everyone.
After an update more or less the 20th of october, polkit stopped working: I'm using KDE, and the hibernate/sleep buttons disappeared. I also use Apper, and it can't authenticate anymore.
I installed the kcm-polkit-kde-git package from AUR to check out what was happening: nothing apparently, but I can't change any of the settings (of course, since it uses polkit as well).
Any help on this one ? Using Apper for updates was quite convenient.

I most certainly am.
Normal thing for testing users ?

I don't use KDE and don't know how it works but I suspect this may be related to consolekit support being removed from polkit. I think your best option is to review the mailing list and other threads (if any) on this forum, but especially the mailing list.

Are you using a Display Manager? If you are, things should be working right. If you aren't, you need to make sure you're starting X in the same vt as you're logged in: http://blog.falconindy.com/articles/bac … stemd.html

The version in testing (107-4) has issues. In my case, normal users cannot automount a USB-stick (Android phone), it is recognized but mounting failed.
Downgrading to a previous version (105-1) makes everything work again.

If you use polkit from testing you must boot with systemd since consolekit support has been removed
